Hello

I really suck at these introductory posts and the like.

I figure ya'll can call me Echo; it's a good a name as any. I didn't originally intend to start this blog, but it's late and I can't sleep so I figure what the hell? I'll probably post here a couple times and then forget about it anyway. I guess I should tell you guys a little about myself now? Um, well, I hate cheese. I really hate cheese. And mayonnaise. And milk. I do like ice cream, so I'm not a total freak. I guess.

None of that is really important. I'm a writer, of sorts. I dunno. Ugh. Someone's dog is barking pretty loud out there. I hope it's not mine. Ah well, it is rather late and I need to get up to go to class in about two hours. Here's to hoping I manage it.

  1. We dislike and like the same things, and I'm always a fan of other writers.

...You should probably not associate with me too much though, you know? Especially since I'm a wimp and selfish.

Also, your offer is awesome, but I don't where Philadelphia is or what the climate is like. You guys have too many states to keep track of. Be relieved I even know it exists.

  2. Don't worry, Philadelphia is in Pennsylvania. Don't worry about not being able to keep our geography straight, I have trouble with it too sometimes. As for climate, it's cold in the winter and hot and muggy in the summer. Still, it's warmer than Canada in the winter, and a bit cooler than Florida in the summer. Bugs are a lot smaller than the ones in Florida as well.

And not associate with you? Pshhhh. You seem like a pretty cool gal who needs a friend. Besides, I may need someone to help me go over a fantasy story I'm writing. You know, make sure my words make sense to people who aren't me and the like. Not too many good editors around these days, can't afford to let a potential one get away.

  3. Pennsylvania... doubt we drove through there on the way to Florida. Ah well. I'll find an American map on Google or whatnot. Cooler than Florida sounds awesome - I don't want to think about how much electricity is used up keeping each house in its private bubble of cool air... and there are /no stairs/. The ocean was nice, and getting there meant GOING THROUGH MOUNTAINS. And if there's one aspect of geography I will squeal about, it is mountains.

Oho, I see - I'm a potential editor, eh? Well... fine. You get to read my random fanfics and writing attempts, and I will read yours. Yay for fantasy stories~

Thanks, you're taking my mind off of the walk I need to make.

  4. I've never been a big fan of the ocean. It's real pretty from far away, but when you go in it's cold and there are critters and you can never not accidentally drink some and then you get a tummy ache and when you leave sand won't stop sticking to you. The beach is a wholly unpleasant experience.

I do like mountains. Aside from the bugs, they're fantastic.

You write Pokémon fics right? I have an unhealthy obsession with Pokémon myself. I'll have to check them out.

    Anytime. I'm here to help.

  5. Yeah, mainly Pokemon fanfics because it has such a loose 'verse to play around in. I'm tentatively going to start playing around in other sandboxes soon, and of course, I write some short stories, got a novel I'm working on... very slowly. >>

  6. Yeah. Novels are the hardest to write for me. Well, anything longer than twenty pages or so is really hard for me to do. Heh.
